This utility helps you manage mod/fake-patch files in simple fashion, if you (like me) don't use the Plugin Manager.

Installation
Drop easymod.exe in the directory where your mod files are. Example:
TC : ../X3 Terran Conflict
AP : ../X3 Terran Conflict/addon

Interface
Once you start the tool you see two listings:
Left = Indicates all two-digit mod files, the ones recognized by the game
Right = Mod files not used by the game

Adding a new mod to the game
- Extract the mod files into the appropriate dir as usual
- Start easymod
- Select in the right list the desired mod and press [CTRL]+[ARROW LEFT]
The tool renames the selected mod (cat+dat files) into the two-digit format with new highest ID. The tool also adds the original file name as comment, so you can identify the mod later. You can change this comment into anything you like by clicking it.

Rearrange mod
- Select in the left list a mod and press [CTRL]+[ARROW UP] to move up
- Select in the left list a mod and press [CTRL]+[ARROW DOWN] to move down
The tool renames all appropriate files to fit into your new load order.

NOTE: The base game files 01..04 cannot be moved

Remove mod
- Select in the left list a mod and press [CTRL]+[ARROW RIGHT]
The tool renames the mod into whatever you have given as comment.

NOTE: You can only remove the last entry in the left list.
